For a John Deere X590, identify the tractor, installed engine and deck before comparing service parts or a used package. Deere’s July 2023 guide distinguishes several 48-inch deck variants as well as 54-inch decks. Sharing a blade reference does not make their drive belts interchangeable.

Identify the X590 configuration

Record the tractor PIN, market and engine model and serial. Ask whether the engine has been replaced; a current model advertisement or another X500-series tractor cannot identify an older machine’s engine.

Photograph the deck identification, cutting width and fitted discharge, mulch or collection equipment. Retain the attachment’s separate record where available.

Keep engine service and transmission service enquiries separate. Use the applicable tractor and component manuals for fluids, procedures and operating restrictions.

Check the actual controls, instruments and safety equipment. Have an unfamiliar control or fault identified before operating; do not infer installed features from an unverified listing.

Measure gates, storage and the complete fitted machine. Confirm attachment mounts, required hardware and operating limits for the exact configuration before paying for missing equipment.

Check X590 engine-service references and market

Deere’s November 2019 table lists LG265 from X590 serial 110001, without an engine code. Its July 2023 guide lists LG265 for Canada and the USA, and AUC17070 elsewhere. Confirm the current application from the engine actually fitted; these dated references do not establish fit for an unknown replacement engine.

The July guide names AM116304 fuel filter, AM125424 oil filter, MIU12554 primary and MIU12555 secondary air-filter references. Check the current kit’s contents before buying individual filters. The AM116304 offer below is a two-pack, not a statement that two filters are required per service.

Use the matching manuals for intervals, fuel precautions and service procedures. Keep dated work records. A parts list is not a diagnosis of a starting, running or fuel-use concern.

Conditional X590 kit and fuel-filter choices

Use the dated X590 references to start an enquiry, then confirm the installed engine, market and current kit application. Compare the actual package contents and service task before ordering a kit and separate filters together.

  • John Deere LG265 maintenance kit

The November 2019 X590 row lists LG265 from serial 110001 without an engine code. July 2023 assigns it to Canada and the USA. Confirm the fitted engine, market and current kit contents; these references do not identify a replacement engine.

Deere's July 2023 X590 guide names AM116304. Verify the current application for the actual engine and follow its fuel precautions. The selected listing contains two filters, which is a package quantity rather than the number required per service.

Match the X590 deck, serial branch and belt function

The July 2023 deck pages list UC22009 for the documented 48-inch mower-blade applications and UC22010 for 54-inch decks. They separate the following drive-belt references. Have the actual deck, serial range and current parts application confirmed before ordering.

  • 48-inch, Canada/USA through 110000: M154897 primary and M154958 secondary.
  • 48-inch Accel Deep, Canada/USA from 110001: M169485 primary and M169500 secondary. The guide’s non-Canada/USA 48-inch Accel Deep page lists this pair too.
  • 48X with rotatable anti-scalp wheels: M154897 primary and M154958 secondary. Do not choose the later Accel Deep pair merely because both pages name UC22009.
  • 54-inch: M169485 primary and M169486 secondary on both regional pages. The Canada/USA page names M177791 mulch blades; its Canada/USA 48-inch pages name UC25185. Confirm complete mulch equipment separately.

The tractor traction belt is another application: July 2023 names M151276 through 110000 and M174585 from 110001. It is not a deck-belt reference. No belt or 54-inch blade offer is supplied here.

AM130907 appears on all six July deck pages. Use the fitted deck’s manual for preparation, measurement and adjustment; the gauge alone does not establish a blade reference or a fault’s cause.

X590 blade and leveling choices after deck identification

Read the July 2023 X590 deck branch and confirm the actual assembly before buying. UC22009 is the documented 48-inch mower-blade reference; its presence on several pages does not make the listed belts interchangeable. No 54-inch blade offer is supplied.

  • Accel Deep: UC22009 mower blades product photo

UC22009 appears on the July 2023 X590 48-inch, 48-inch Accel Deep and 48X pages. Confirm the actual deck and current reference before choosing this three-blade listing. It is not the documented 54-inch choice or complete mulch equipment.

  • John Deere AM130907 deck-level gauge

    John Deere AM130907 deck-level gauge

All six July 2023 X590 deck pages show AM130907. Confirm the fitted deck and follow its preparation, measurement and adjustment instructions. A gauge reading is one part of the inspection and does not establish the cause of every cutting fault.

Prepare for X590 service using the matched manuals

Plan access, tools and protection

Shut down, let components cool and isolate as directed before inspection or service. Measure drain-container clearance and allow sufficient collection capacity. Match sockets to the actual fastener and specified torque; the selected set contains hand tools, not impact sockets. Check eye-protection markings against the task; chemical-splash protection is not established for the selected goggles.

Keep service records with the machine

Use the engine and tractor/deck manuals for storage, cleaning, fluids, tire pressure and service intervals. Record dates, hours and fitted references so that a later enquiry can distinguish work completed from parts merely purchased.

Record symptoms before buying a repair part

Describe when a fault occurs and retain the relevant service history. Stop use and arrange assessment when safe operation is uncertain. Replacing a filter or fitting new blades does not by itself establish that a running or cutting problem is resolved.

Equipment & supplies

Workshop preparation for the identified X590

Choose workshop supplies for the matched service procedure. Check drain clearance and capacity, actual fastener size and torque, and required protective markings before purchase. These general supplies do not establish engine or deck compatibility.

  • FloTool 42003MI oil drain container

    FloTool 42003MI oil drain container

For planned X590 oil service, measure access beneath the drain before selecting the FloTool 42003MI 16-quart container. Allow adequate collection capacity and follow the matched manual's isolation and disposal instructions. A large container alone does not guarantee clearance.

  • GEARWRENCH 80550 socket set

    GEARWRENCH 80550 socket set

Match the GEARWRENCH 80550 SAE or metric socket to the actual X590 service fastener and use the specified torque with the appropriate equipment. This hand-tool set is not an impact-socket set; verify the required sizes before ordering.

  • DEWALT DPG82-11 clear safety goggles

    DEWALT DPG82-11 clear safety goggles

Check the DEWALT DPG82-11 goggles' markings and fit against the X590 workshop task and its instructions. This selection does not establish chemical-splash protection. Obtain the protection required by the procedure rather than treating all goggles as equivalent.

Assess the actual X590 and complete offer

Compare machines of identified configuration and documented condition. Check operator fit, controls, access routes and intended attachments against the applicable manuals.

Inspect the actual deck, guards, discharge equipment and visible mounting hardware from a permitted safe position. Have unresolved condition or repair questions assessed rather than pricing them as minor faults without evidence.

Request a written offer that identifies the tractor and every included attachment.

Include missing components, repair estimates, delivery, financing and warranty or service-support terms in the comparison. A headline machine price is insufficient when the packages differ.

Ask for hours and dated maintenance and fault-repair records. Anonymous owner comments do not establish this machine’s history or condition.

X590 pre-purchase and parts checklist

Confirm tractor serial, market, installed engine and deck; keep the records separate when a guide uses a serial boundary.

Verify current kit contents and the seller’s quantity. Keep 48-inch and 54-inch blades separate, and identify the exact 48-inch deck before choosing belts.

Obtain inspection findings and a written complete-cost offer before deciding. Buy only the parts needed for the confirmed assembly and service task.

X590 source references and manuals

Use Deere’s and as dated references. Obtain the manuals and current parts application for the actual engine, tractor and deck before carrying out work or ordering.
