Use this page to identify a John Deere 1026R and narrow the search to documentation for its exact configuration. A model name alone may not identify the engine, serial range, or equipment currently fitted to a used tractor.
Start with the PIN, not a similar model listing
Record the tractor’s product identification number and the engine’s separate model and serial numbers. Then note the loader, mower deck, hitch, and any hydraulic or PTO-driven implement. When a seller or parts listing says “fits 1026R,” compare its stated year or PIN range with the numbers on your machine.
The 1025R and 1026R names are close, but parts, service instructions, and attachment requirements should not be transferred between models by appearance. Follow the publication that lists your model and serial range.
For the 1026R, start with the model-specific John Deere operator’s manual OMLVU25864 and confirm that its publication scope matches the tractor’s identification plate.
Before selecting an implement
- Match the mounting frame and hitch, including any required subframe.
- Confirm PTO speed, shaft, and direction when the implement uses PTO power.
- Check hydraulic couplers and the machine’s documented flow and pressure requirements.
- Compare the implement’s weight and working load with the tractor and loader limits in the correct manual.
