Record the machine before ordering
- Photograph the tractor’s model and PIN plate.
- Record the engine model and serial number from its own label.
- Write down the loader, mower deck, hitch, and attachment model numbers separately.
- Note visible options or changes made by a previous owner; an attachment may have been added after the tractor was sold.
Use those identifiers to select a publication or parts diagram whose listed serial range includes your tractor. Do not use a horsepower label or a listing for a similar 1 Series model as a substitute for the PIN.
Deere’s OMLVU28480 operator’s manual is a publication for the 1023E and 1025R. Check the publication revision and PIN applicability against the plate on your tractor before using its specifications or service steps.
Check a proposed attachment as a complete setup
Before buying an implement, verify the tractor model and PIN, mounting interface, hitch category, PTO requirements where applicable, hydraulic connections, and the machine’s documented capacity for the planned task. The implement’s rating does not increase the tractor’s rating.
