John Deere GX325 Garden Tractor

The John Deere GX325 belongs to Deere’s GX garden-tractor group. Before ordering a lift kit, mower part or other attachment, identify the exact tractor and compare its serial information with the relevant parts catalog. Deere’s archived attachment schedule lists a GX325 lift-kit grouping separately from the 325/335/345/355D grouping; this shows why matching by a shortened model name can fail.

Use the right GX325 record

  • Record the tractor product identification and serial number.
  • Check the engine model on its own data plate; do not assume the original engine is still installed.
  • Record the mower deck and the part numbers on any implement or mounting bundle.
  • Compare those identifiers with the Deere catalog and manual for the machine’s serial range before buying or fitting a part.

The archived Deere attachment schedule is historical fitment evidence, not a current guarantee for every GX325 or attachment. Confirm present part substitutions and serial limits through John Deere’s model/serial selector or a dealer.

Used-unit checks

Review service records and note any engine or deck change. Check visible condition, wiring, leaks, guards and attachment mounts with the tractor stopped. If it is demonstrated, observe starting, steering, braking and drive operation according to the operator’s manual. These checks can surface questions for a technician but do not diagnose internal wear.
